Summary:
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director for our established ACGME accredited program in Salem, Virginia .

Our emergency medicine residency program started in 2019
Full complement of 24 residents
Program director responsibilities include:
Clinical teaching and supervision of residents
Core program clinical teaching
Administration
GME committees/meetings
GME lecturing/teaching conferences
GME recruiting/interviewing
GME research/scholarly activity
Resident evaluation/mentoring
Program evaluation
The program director will oversee the success and maintenance of certification of the program in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and the policies and procedures of the sponsoring institution.
Report directly to the regional medical director and hospital CEO.

Qualified candidates:
Board certified in emergency medicine
3
years of teaching and/or administrative experience
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role
Ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
Strong administrative and team building skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $400,000.00 - $475,000.00 per year
