Job Description:
The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Permanent Public Affairs Specialist 2 position.

What will you do?In this position you will perform public affairs functions within the Strategic Communications Unit, including supporting internal and external communications efforts and planning and communications involving the agency's Strategic Communications Plan.
You will also provide public affairs guidance to program managers and create and implement communication projects.
The score of your work will frequently have statewide significance and impact.
In this position, you will act as the agency's secondary strategic communications liaison to state, federal and local agencies statewide and may be assigned other programs within the Department of State Police, or other state agencies as directed, on a short- or long-term basis.
You will plan, produce, and edit videos and photographic content for both internal and external communications.
Studio and on-location filming and photography are necessary components of the Department of State Police's Strategic Communication Plan.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, the Behavioral or Social Sciences or related degree and two years professional level experience in Public Relations or AffairsORFive years' experience directly related to the position under recruitment; two of the five years must have been at the professional level.

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range.
If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.
95%.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
