HopeTree Academy offers residential and day-school services to a wide cross-section of alternative and special education students throughout the Roanoke Valley and the Commonwealth.
Licensed by the Virginia Department of Education we are currently providing services to youth grades 7-12.

Summary:
Completes assignments assigned by teacher.
Implements lesson plans as designed by teacher.
The teacher's assistant is to carry out all duties and educational plans as assigned, manage student behaviors in the classes assigned, as well as give individualized educational assistance to selected students according to their unique learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Develops a good professional relationship with all students in order to help them with school concerns, adjustment problems, and making effective realistic goals.
Assists with all classroom duties, activities, etc Give teacher organizational support in organizing supplies in classroom Gives teacher behavior management support such as observing and charting student behavior Provide positive reinforcement and support to teachers All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
A college degree and teaching or teacher's aide experience preferred Experience working with special education and/or at risk populations is preferred Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient typing and computer skills Job Type:
