Physical Therapist GS-0633-11 Relocation Expenses:

DUTIES:
Interprets the prescriptions requesting physical therapy using specialized skills and medical knowledge in the evaluation of the patient's medical condition.
Evaluates the patients' present functional levels and disabilities.
Establishes meaningful therapeutic goals and independently designs a treatment plan to meet the goals established in the most efficient manner.
Independently conducts treatment of patients with the diagnoses of upper and lower extremity joint replacements; degenerative conditions of the spine including spinal stenosis, spondylosis, and spondylolisthesis; mild to severely impaired patients with a stroke and other brain injury; a thorough range of upper and lower extremity tendonitis, bursitis, and impingement syndromes; central and peripheral neurological diagnoses; and cardiopulmonary conditions status post surgery or medical treatment.
Knowledge in the are of central neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Huntington's chorea, and others is required.
Coordinates the scheduling of patient treatment with other Physical Medicine & Rehab Service (PM&RS) therapists as well as with the nursing staff.
Participatesin multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings, giving input as necessary tohelp the health care team make appropriate discharge plans.
