Medical Supply Technician
This position is located in the Sterile Processing Service of Nursing Professional Practice at Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
o Collect, receive, and disassemble all used, soiled reusable medical equipment o Perform systematic manual and automated cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of various medical instrument and equipment o Operate a variety of automated cleaning/disinfection equipment and sterilization equipment o Prepare the full range of trays and sets for use in various areas of the medical center o Perform peer training for new employees and others o Identify trends; recommend solutions, and implement quality improvement initiatives related to program effectiveness o Perform record keeping, tracking operation, and quality assurance o Conduct inventory of all sterilized instruments and trays Work Schedule:

) DESIGNATED DRUG-TESTING POSITION:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
