Advanced Practice Nurse PractitionerSelected candidates shall provide clinical services in the Surgical Care Service Line at the VA Medical Center, Salem, VA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing duties to include, but not limited to the following:
Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resourcesPerforms complete pre-operative history & physicals on surgical patients, identifying and alerting Residents/Attending Surgeons and surgeon to any disqualifying conditions that presentAssists surgical residents and attending in performing complete evaluations on patients in outpatient settings, to include establishing a working diagnosis, developing a treatment plan, implementing therapeutic intervention and providing appropriate follow-up care from a pre-admission clinic point of view ( medical history and physical & clearance only)Designs conducts, and/or participates in research studies, manages databases, and performs quality assurance, as applicableProven strong internal / primary care medicine experience Anti-coagulation management in conjunction with supervising physician or surgeon or pharmacistPerforms additional related duties within the Department of Surgery, as required.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
