Podiatrist (Non-Surgical/Primary Care)

TOUR OF DUTY:
Day Tour.
Individual procedures and services will be consistent with selected provider's granted privileges and based upon individual training, qualifications, and experience.
In addition to the performance of procedures consistent with privileges granted, the selected individual will be responsible for performing duties to include, but not limited to the following:
o Provides comprehensive podiatric care services as well as follow-up care of existing conditions and management of emergency conditions;o Provides pre- and post-operative podiatric services, including hospital rounds;o Performs minor office podiatric surgery procedures;o Conducts weekly inpatient and outpatient clinics;o Documents services through appropriate notes, including H&P, progress notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries;o Critiques Morbidity and Mortality information and documentation;o Alternates On-Call coverage with other VAMC staff podiatrists;o Educates physicians, staff, residents and students in the principles and therapy of complex and basic podiatric services and surgery; o Participates in clinical research protocols either developed locally in cooperation with other faculty or developed at other institutions for multi-center studies;o Assists residents and students in selecting, developing and preparing abstracts for presentation at meetings;o Performs administrative duties involved in the proper functioning of the Podiatric Section including, but not limited to:
supervising senior podiatry students and podiatric residents; teaching of medical students and residents of surgery and medicine; developing and reviewing policies for the Podiatry Section; ensuring all applicable regulations are being met; and ensuring continuing education of staff under his/her supervision.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
