Major Duties include:
Responsible for providing exceptional personal contacts with Veterans and their families, community partners, referral sources, Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), the general community and other VA program staff, either in person or by telephone; Screens callers ascertaining name, affiliation and purpose of visit/call and based upon subject matter, determines whether matter should be referred to supervisors or other appropriate programs and/or staff members or whether the information can be supplied personally; Maintains timecards, ensures appraisals, standards, etc., are done on a timely basis for the supervisor's subordinate staff; Responsible for organizing, delegating and reviewing completed correspondence, ensuring appropriate responses are returned to the concurrence authority, within stated guidelines and deadlines; Independently prepares and submits Work without Compensation Forms to Human Resource for interns and assures accuracy in time for certification for each intern; Provides direct support to the Social Work Specialty programs in terms of analyzing data, providing services to internal and external stakeholders and coordinatingoutreach events with community partners; Runs monthly reports for workload capture for encounters/RVU's and does comparisons to the previous fiscal year in terms of performance; Supports supervisor in preparation for VISN Committee/work group meetings and prepares minutes when supervisor chairs a VISN Committee; Other duties as assigned. Program Support Assistant (OA)/PD2131 To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/23/2020. Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Organizing, delegating and reviewing completed correspondence, provides direct technical and administrative support to the Chief, evaluates and standardizes office procedures, and independently collects and analyzes data for action plans. Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily sedentary in nature and requires occasional walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as books, papers, medical records, etc. The work is performed within an office setting at the Medical Center. The environment involves every day risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of offices, patient rooms, and in general, the Medical Center. It also involves normal risks associated with a Medical Center, including exposure to contagious diseases and disturbed patients. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
