Credentialing Program Assistant

Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assisting in ensuring compliance with Credentialing and Privileging requirements. Provides analysis of documentation provided by applicants during initial medical staff appointment. Requests renewal of medical staff and clinical privileges. Provides advice to professional and management officials regarding the requirements for medical staff privileges. Services as a facility administrator for VetPro as well as the credentials databank. Verifies all specialty and subspecialty board certificates. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
performing work involving the collection, compilation, and validation of data received according to the facility policies, regulations, accreditation standards, and industry standards using appropriate technical methods; coordinating and managing incoming data from a variety of sources; retrieving and organizing computerized data sets. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
